Bittersweets New York jewelry classes are taught in the basement of the brooklyn boutique. The cost of the class includes instruction and use of the studio tools during class time. Materials and casting fees are additional.

Casting jewelry from a toy or object

Instructor: Donovan Smith

3 consecutive Tuesdays. $250 + tax
july 1, 6-8pm/ July 8, 6-9pm /July 15, 6-9pm. 8 hours total.

Have you ever found yourself looking in a boutique at jewelry modeled from everyday objects, like a beer can tab made out of gold or an army man toy made in silver, and thought "Pretty cool," and "I'll bet I could make that!"
Well... Now you can!

This 3 week course will show you how turn a plastic toy, pen cap, guitar pick, 45 record insert, anything really... into really cool metal jewelry. The end result will be a necklace with your new charm. The great thing about this process is that you can make 1, 10, 100, or 1000's of your object. It is really simple to get multiple castings! You can choose from Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. You can even have your Bronze or Silver pieces plated in Gold or Platinum.
